Sian suggested I post the backs of my blackwork tonal columns to reveal their less precise and freer style in comparison to the formal counted stitchery on the front. This was interesting as indeed the results are very diverse, who’d have thought I’d spent all those hours carefully counting!

The backs are really exciting. I tried to do one which looked like a back, but it didn't quite have the texture and quality of the real back!
